Empty Seat

Sometimes I still try to find that piece of time when we were drunk in the scent of falling blossoms, walking hand in hand in one balmy spring afternoon. We were dazed in our pristine love, heedless to the hovering shadow of realities. Only when they hit, I realised how far we had gone and how many lines we had crossed. Still, when I thought of you, the rest of the world goes away. For you taught me to stop and breathe when the world being less friendly, lift my eyes through the blue skies and telling me how beautiful I am as those unapologetically roses. Tonight, I sit on the porch just to feel close to you while the empty seat beside me - untroubled and warm from yesterday’s laughter.
Most of the time that I write, I write so I can listen to what my soul has to say. Nothing could ever give me peace than watching words after words released - as my soul calmly breathes to the sound of my pen gently dancing on the paper.
